About James
James McTeigue is the acclaimed director of several major feature films and
series. He directed the critically acclaimed ‘V for Vendetta’, starring Natalie
Portman, which went on to become a cultural touchstone and audience
favourite. He followed this with 'Ninja Assassin', which foreshadowed many of the character-driven martial-arts films of the zeitgeist. His other films include ‘The
Raven’ and ‘Survivor’. More recently he co-directed and produced ‘Matrix
Resurrections’ and the commercially successful crime drama ‘Breaking In’,
starring Gabrielle Union.
His work in TV includes two seasons of the genre defining ‘Sense 8’, the
political thriller ‘Messiah’ and the historical ‘Marco Polo’.
James has more than thirty credits to his name spanning, ‘The Matrix
Quadrilogy’, ‘Star Wars: Attack of the Clones’, ‘Moulin Rouge’ and many
others.
He has directed commercials for Heineken, Samsung, Powerade, Rexona,
Deutsche Bank and Guild Wars 2, amongst others.
