About Stash

A globetrotter from birth, Stanislav “Stash” Capar spent his early childhood years in a refugee transit camp, surrounded by families looking for a better tomorrow. This gave birth to a sense of cautious optimism and a love for the human spirit that followed Stash to Canada, the U.K, Scandinavia, the Middle East and finally, the U.S.A

He worked as a martial arts instructor, a children’s athletic coach, a commercial window cleaner, a camera sales rep, a journalist, a film editor and a creative producer before getting into the director’s chair, whereupon he was immediately recognized at the Cannes Young Director Award and the SHOOT New Directors Showcase for early personal projects. Since then, he has gone on to direct campaigns for Amgen, AncestryDNA, Bombardier, Fujifilm, Johnson & Johnson, Moore’s, Nestle, and many other global brands.

His work is known for its emotional authenticity, ability to inspire, and for blending both observational and subjective perspectives.

Stash's favorite flowers are purple orchids because it always stands tall, and always comes back to life.
